What People are Saying About Us
Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!
“I thought I would drop you a line to tell you what a wonderful product you have.
I live in southern California just outside Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. The area where I live sometimes gets to 100 degrees during the summer and down to 40 degrees during the winter. In our Fall and Spring it can be 75 degrees during the day and 40 degrees during the night. This would be a challenge for any air conditioning and heating system.
My house is a two level house approximately 2800 square feet. It is nearly evenly split upstairs and downstairs. Three of the four bedrooms are upstairs. After the 1994 earthquake my house was “Red Tagged” meaning we had to take it down to the two by fours and reinforce the foundation.
My house was always difficult to balance heating and air conditioning the two levels. The A/C contractor wanted to zone the house and put in two separate systems, one upstairs and one downstairs. This made sense, but was very expensive and we were running out of rebuilding funds.
I happened to read a Popular Science review on your system (I believe your company was Enerzone at the time). It sounded cool so I called Jerry to discuss my situation and see what he thought.
We designed a Five zone system; each bedroom had it’s own zone plus one zone for the Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen. Since Fall and Spring nights were cool, we designed a system to bring in outside air when the outside temperature was less than the temperature setting of a zones thermostat.
I installed Two Airzone panels SPP-6 and SPP-2, plus one panel of relays to connect to the EWC zone control panels. I have 14 Flexdampers of various sizes to complete the zoning.
Over the years our single Lennox Forced Air unit and condenser has been able to keep us cool or warm and we minimized our power usage. We had to replace the Lennox in 2010.
BUT
My zoning system has worked since the nineties. I have only had to replace a couple of 24 Volt transformer over the years. This year the EP-1 vacuum pump finally gave up (Rest in Peace).
My Air Conditioning maintenance company that services the Lennox Forced Air unit every year suggests I replace the Zoning system with their mechanical damper system. When I ask if the could match the reliability of the current system, they always answer no.
Thank you for many decades of great comfort.”
