How to connect to other zone panels with 2 wire damper outputs

Retrozone inc copywrite 2016

Turn all stats to off.

Connect the two existing damper ouput wires to belimo terminal 1 and 3.

Connect the belimo motor  terminal 2 to  any thermostat input “R” on board.

Use Black pushbuttom clutch on motor to rotate damper half way open, then release clutch.

A. If motor powers open, you should be done.

B. If motor powers close, you should use o/1 reversing switch on face of motor to reverse travel

C. If motor does not move damper, reverse wires 1 and 3.

Whats going on:

If you have a meter, you can check this.

Here is what you are trying to do:

24vac power is being applied full time to motor termnals 1 and 2.

Switched power from one of the two existing damper outputs is switched to motor terminal 3.  (sometimes the zone board schematic on inside cover will show this, and sometimes not)

Electrically, the same leg of zone control transfomer that is on thermostat input R goes to motor terminal 2

The other Leg of zone control transformer that is on Thermostat C goes to motor terminal 1.

Motor is diode protected and will  not short 24vac system.

Above pic shows a typical example of a zone control board with just two damper outputs per zone (right side 11 22 33 44). Note 24vac transformer input on upper left terminal, + and -
